Big Reds Roll Over Redskins 45-16

HURRICANE – After spotting host Hurricane an early touchdown the Parkersburg Big Reds came roaring back with a vengeance to post a 45-16 Mountain State Athletic Conference victory over the Redskins.

The Big Reds kicked a field goal and added six touchdowns before the game reached a mercy-shortened stage midway through the fourth quarter.

Both teams came into the contest without a win but the Big Reds parlayed some big runs by Ethan Jones and a long pass from Alex Greer to Austin Craven. Jones scored two touchdowns and ran for 138 yards on 11 carries while Greer added 89 on 10 carries and Gavin Bowman had 52 on five carries but lost a long touchdown run to a penalty.

Brady Thorn and Javel Chandler had interceptions for PHS while the Big Reds came up with four quarterback sacks.
